Welcome to the National Minority Clinical Research Association (NMCRA) Network

The National Minority Clinical Research Association (NMCRA) is dedicated to addressing diseases that disproportionately affect minority populations and reducing racial and ethnic disparities in health care prevention, clinical treatment, and health related research outcomes. Many health trend reports have concluded that the overall health of the American population has improved over the past few decades. However, studies have shown that racial and ethnic minorities are not always represented in these statistics due to patients’ limited access to care and the lack of culturally “relevant” clinical information for providers.

The NMCRA Network is a specialized online community for medical professionals dedicated to the care of minority populations, especially for diseases that disproportionately burden minority populations such as Asthma, Cancer (breast and prostate), Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes, Hypertension, HIV, and Sickle Cell.

As the principal source for the most up-to-date medical and clinical information related to minority populations, NMCRA identifies and communicates clinical trials and medical education addressing issues of clinical importance in minority patient populations and provides this information to medical providers through its online NMCRA Network. Members of the NMCRA Network share the common goal of improving healthcare outcomes in minority populations, nationwide.
